Iceblade of Narin: The 66th Warframe, and a Banshee Rework

Before Tau closes out the year, there is Iceblade of Narin — the fall update, currently targeting somewhere between September and November, with early October looking most likely.

What is confirmed

• Narin, the game's 66th Warframe
• Citrine Prime, with her matching signature weapons
• A Banshee rework
• Banshee Deluxe and Corvus Deluxe skins

What is not

Narin's abilities have not been revealed. Not the passive, not the four. Everything circulating about the kit right now is guesswork, and we would rather say that plainly than repeat a rumour and have you build around it.

The name points at cold, and "Iceblade" points at a weapon, but pointing is all it is until Digital Extremes say so.

The Banshee rework matters more than it sounds

Banshee is one of the original frames and has spent most of a decade in an odd place: extraordinary in the hands of someone who knows exactly what she does, and almost unused everywhere else. Sonar is still one of the highest raw damage multipliers in the game. The problem was never the ceiling, it was everything around it — the survivability, the cast times, the way Silence competes with itself.

A rework that keeps Sonar's ceiling and fixes the floor would put her straight back into Steel Path squads.
